The 72-member chapter has received the Community Service Awardfor its annual fund-raiser for victims of domestic violence andtheir families. The two-year-old event is called Return to Respectand is part of the chapter's Gala of Grace program. Ten nationalchapters competed for the award.

Karen W. Procell, a partner in the Orlando law firm of Gronek& Latham, led the fund-raising campaign which has netted$40,000 over the past two years. Procell lost her sister todomestic violence.

"I will never be able to change how domestic violence hasaffected my family, but with the ongoing commitment and support ofCREW Orlando, we do, however, have the power to make the story enddifferently for someone else," Procell says in a preparedstatement.
