Public Health Institute has signed a six-year lease for 24,000-sf of office space at 555 City Center, a 487,000-sf building that was completed in April 2002. The company will occupy the entire tenth floor.
In a separate deal earlier this month, Carol H. Williams Advertising signed a six-year lease for 24,100-sf in the building.
John Dolby, vice president of leasing for Oakland City Center, represented Shorenstein Realty Services in both transactions, while Sid Ewing of CB Richard Ellis represented the Public Health Institute and Rick Steffens of Grubb & Ellis represented Carol Williams.
The current asking rate for the building is about $30 per sf, annually. When the building first opened, it was only seven percent leased and asking about $50 per sf.
