The city is negotiating to turn the operation and development of Winter Park over to Canada-based Intrawest Corp., and a strong snowfall should draw more visitors and eventually lead to more real estate sales.
The average snowfall for October is only four inches. And the good news, and the white stuff, keeps coming.
So far in November, Winter Park has been blessed with another 14.5 inches, for a total of 42.5 inches. And Winter Park doesn't even open until Wednesday.
Snowmaking efforts are currently six days ahead of last year and snowcats have already started grooming the slopes for opening day.
