Of the total space spoken for, more than 60% involved one transaction. BT Harborside Urban Renewal Corp., a division of Deutsche Bank, re-upped for its existing 385,000 sf at Mack-Cali's 400,000-sf Harborside Financial Center Plaza One on the Jersey City waterfront. The class A building is currently 100% leased. In the BT Harborside transaction, in-house development director Jane Greenblatt represented Mack-Cali.

Among other key transactions reported during the period, Johnson & Johnson renewed its occupancy of 28,232 sf of office space at 721 Route 202/206 in Bridgewater, NJ. The 193,000-sf office property is 100% leased. Toni Casiano, in-house leasing director, represented the owner.

Also, apparel retailer Aeropostale signed a new lease for 20,000 sf of office space at the 178,000-sf 201 Willowbrook Blvd. in Wayne, NJ. Marisa Manley and James D. Barras of Commercial Tenant Real Estate Representation Ltd. spoke for the tenant, while Christopher DeLorenzo, in-house senior leasing director, repped the owner.

In Parsippany, NJ, meanwhile, The Medicines Co., a pharmaceutical entity, signed an expansion and relocation lease for just under 17,000 sf at 8 Campus Dr. Located within Mack-Cali Business Campus, the 215,000-sf class A asset is currently 86% leased. The Medicines Co. was represented by Matthew McDonough of Trammell Crow Co.; in-house leasing director Patrick Eichner represented Mack-Cali.

Additionally in Wall Twp., NJ, medical products manufacturer Medi-Hut Co. Inc. signed a new lease for just under 12,000 sf at 1345 Campus Parkway. Located within the Monmouth Shores Corporate Park, the 76,300-sf office/flex building is 96% leased. Jane Moni of Julien J. Studley Inc. represented the tenant, while senior leasing director Diane Chayes was the in-house rep for Mack-Cali.
