Advance closed on the acquisition of the tower just last month, buying it from The Gale Co. of Florham Park, NJ and TishmanSpeyer Properties of New York in a deal brokered by C&W. The sale price and terms of the sale were not disclosed.
One Gateway Center is part of Gateway Center in this city's downtown. Consisting of four interconnecting office towers totaling 2.3 million sf, as well as a 250-key Hilton Hotel and 80,000 sf of retail space adjacent to Newark Penn Station, the complex is said to be the largest mixed-use project in New Jersey. The various components of Gateway Center have different ownership.
"Gateway Center is one of New Jersey's premier and most successful mixed-use developments," according to Jeffrey L. Heller, senior director at C&W. Heller, along with Justin Gingeleskie and Jeremy Neuer are handling the assignment.
