The project will entail the addition of new guest rooms, a new pool area and a new lobby and conference facility. Part of the hotel's new expansion is slated to rise on a 2.5-acre site adjacent to the existing facility, which is located at 1710 W. Mission Bay Drive. It will consist of a three-story building that will house the additional guest rooms.
The proposed renovation will also include site and landscape modifications, including the re-striping of all existing parking areas, new landscaping added to the front and back of all structures and the planting of numerous palm trees to unify the existing buildings with the new additions. New furniture will be added throughout the site.
Tucker Sadler Noble Castro Architects is the project architect and Parterre is the landscape architect. Additional services are being provided by interior designer Parisi and civil engineer RBF Consulting.
