The aim, according to Gianakopolous, is for WASA to become a larger player in New Jersey's office, industrial, medical/pharmaceutical and education sectors.

"This new office will make us more accessible to the New Jersey marketplace," according to Gianakopolous. "We are looking to expand our operations, and we're looking forward to the opportunity to penetrate this competitive market."

Besides its architectural and engineering disciplines, WASA is known for its preservation activities. Some of its current projects include the 32-story Alfred E. Smith state office building in Albany, NY and renovation/restoration projects for a Museum of Modern Art branch in Queens, NY and the Harvard Club in Manhattan.
