Lance Morris with the commercial retail division of the Weitzman Group's Austin office negotiated a 10-year lease for Conn's and building owner, RS Shopping Center Ltd. The other tenants at the 187,547-sf shopping center include the Antique Mall of Texas, Half-Price Books, Boot Town and Blockbuster Video. The 97%-occupied center is situated at Interstate 35 and Gattis School Road.
Morris tells GlobeSt.com that Conn's may open a sixth Austin area store at an undetermined time. The company operates more than 40 stores in Texas and Louisiana. Conn's other area locations, ranging from 26,000 sf to 30,000 sf, include Capital Plaza at 5411 I-35, 2531 Anderson Lane and 6425 S. I-35, all in Austin; and 11101 Pecan Park Blvd. in Cedar Park.
