Two 18-story luxury condominium towers, which will be the first of their kind in Irvine, will join other recent new construction at Park Place that includes an office building at 3121 Michelson Dr. that opened this fall.
The Park Place site is at the southeast corner of Jamboree Road and the San Diego (I-405) Freeway. The Crow affiliate that sold the land was Park Place Residential Highrise LLC. The buyer was an affiliate of Bosa Development of California Inc.
The new condominium project will be called the Marquee at Park Place. The 240-unit luxury towers will feature 120 two-and-three-bedroom floor plans, a pool, a garden and a fitness center, and a 24-hour concierge. The site will also include four two-story townhouses. Nat Bosa, founder of Bosa Development, says construction and sales for the towers will begin in the spring.
The 2.3-acre site is part of 90 acres that surrounds the existing Park Place office campus, which formerly was the world headquarters for construction giant Fluor Corp. and is about a mile from Orange County's John Wayne Airport and the University of Calfiornia at Irvine. The 90-acre site is slated for development of more than 4 million sf of offices, retail space and housing over the next 15 years. Among the newest projects there is the 146,938-sf office building at 3121 Michelson Dr., which includes an adjacent parking structure with a covered walkway to the office building.
