In the larger of the two deals, a 68-unit property in El Cajonhas been acquired by a limited partnership known as La SierraVillas Partners. The company has shelled out nearly $2.7 millionfor the complex, El Cajon Apartments, which stands at 1362 E. MainSt. Reza Ghaffari of the Ontario office of Marcus & MillichapReal Estate Investment Brokerage Co. acted on behalf of both thebuyer and the seller, Donald G. Hunt, trustee of the Donald G. HuntLiving Trust.

Separately, a seven-unit complex in San Diego has sold for$125,000 per unit to local investor Ron Fletcher of FloridaProperties LLC. Located at 4034 Florida St., the two-story propertydates back to 1988. All of its units have two-bedroom, two-bathfloor plans that encompass approximately 850 sf. Amenities includefireplaces and garages, as well as an onsite laundry facility. "Itis rare for a buyer to find a property with such a full packageincluding good location, age and mix of units," says ChuckWeinberger of Award Commercial Properties, who brokered thetransaction. He tells GlobeSt.com that the sellers, David Propachand Natasha Wasserman, are exchanging the San Diego apartmentcomplex into a $2.5-million Staples retail store in Indiana.
