The law firm of Henry P. Vandercam will move into a 3,202-sf office in the 21-story building. Occupancy now is in the mid-90% range for the 509,280-sf structure, a 48-year-old building that was renovated three years ago. The lease comes within weeks of brokers closing a 21,571-sf lease with Edge Petroleum Corp. Lead tenants include Reliant Energy Communications, law firm Linebarger, Goggan, Blair, Pena & Sampson and Credit Lyonnais.
Chip Hubbard of Commercial Real Estate Brokerage in Houston represented Henry P. Vandercam in the lease negotiations. Bonnie Kelley was the in-house representative for the building owner, McCord Development and AEW. According to the Harris County Appraisal District, McCord and AEW purchased the building in 1997 from RLG Realty Holdings.
In another CBD lease, Dusk Entertainment took 2,000 sf at 915 Franklin St., owned by Spire Realty. Kristen Porter with the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co. negotiated the transaction.
