Gary Smith, formerly VP of the Asset Management Group with GMS Realty LLC, will oversee for Capstone the sourcing and acquisition of commercial real estate investments and portfolios as well as the creation of development joint ventures.
Smith was part of the executive team at GMS that oversaw the acquisition, management, leasing, financing and redevelopment of 42 retail centers in the Western United States on behalf of GMS and third party accounts.
Smith is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Institute of Real Estate Management. Capstone acts as joint venture partner, advisor and asset manager for institutional clients and as a principal for its own account. Over the past five years, Capstone has acquired and/or managed for clients nearly six million sf of commercial real estate.
