Sherwood MHC Investors LLC has acquired land at 1725 Massey Thompkins Rd. in Baytown, a city situated 28 miles east of Houston's CBD. Bayland Properties Inc., a manufactured homes company, was the seller.
NewQuest Properties' Dave Ramsey represented Bayland Properties. Art Nicholson of CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s Houston office negotiated for the buyer.
To the northeast, Orlando 14 Associates LP purchased 14 acres at the intersection of Interstate 4 and Conroy Road in Orlando, TX. Land America Exchange Co. bought the tract on behalf of Price Legacy Corp. of San Diego.
Todd O. Hardin of NewQuest Properties represented the buyer, an owner and developer of open-air shopping centers. The REIT has regional offices in Arizona, California, Florida, Utah and Virginian. Due to the holiday, details about the land sales are not available.
