The plan is to carve out 10 acres for a build-to-suit for an affiliate, United Crane Inc., John B. Littman of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. tells GlobeSt.com. Details of the project for the Houston-based United Crane were not available by press time. The land is situated on the south side of McCarty Road near Loop 610.
United Crane's currently operates from a 24,872-sf building situated on about five acres along Kelley Street, also in the northeast submarket. United Crane sells, rents, inspects and maintains cranes. It has offices in Houston, Dallas, Austin and Chicago.
Littman and B. Kelley Parker III, also of Cushman & Wakefield, represented the buyer in the negotiations. The brokers would not release an asking or selling price.
