The office building went dark when Boston-based Antigenics bought Aronex Pharmaceuticals. Derek F. Beck, leasing director with Insignia/ESG's Houston office, tells GlobeSt.com that Ace, which runs an analytical lab, is set to move into the space immediately. He confides that he also has enough deals pending to fill the building. More leases should close in a couple weeks.
Mike Novelli and Pollard Galipp, both with the Cypressbrook Co. of Houston, represented Ace in the negotiations. Ace, relocating from 1680 Lake Front Circle in the Woodlands, recently secured a $9.9-million contract from the federal government for chemical analytical services for multi-media and multi-concentration "inorganics."
The sublease space is in a 30,000-sf building owned by an entity of the Woodlands Operating Co. It is part of the Venture Tech series of high tech/research buildings in the area.
