"This is the largest remaining vacant parcel of what had been a runway for military aircraft," says Dom D'Angelo, an executive managing director at Grubb & Ellis' Melville-based Long Island Office. "This tract, located off the Long Island Expressway at Exit 43, would be perfect for R&D, high-tech or office use. The nearby Northrop Grumman facilities expect further expansion in the Bethpage area."
The area is near all major arterial highways and offers a deep labor pool. Goya Foods, Inc., based in Secaucus, NJ, recently completed a 170,000 square-foot warehousing facility nearby.
