The tenant is scheduled to move into the new space this month, according to Luke Staubitz and Harvey Beesen of The Klabin Co., who represented landlord D.S.A. Properties LP.The shirt-maker's new space is at 12955 Chadron Ave., where the company will employ approximately 120 workers. The new site will replace facilities in the Southern California city of Gardena, Calif.
Michael Stars Inc., which was represented by Brian Anstey of Remax Commercial Brokerage, is a 16-year-old, privately held company that sells its products worldwide in more than 750 stores and boutiques. Its shirts are sold in many of the nation's leading department stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. The company also has its own retail store in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
The company's new building features a truck-high cross-dock brick warehouse, with 6,500 sf of office space and more than two acres of excess land for vehicle and truck parking.
