More than 1,000 registrants are expected at the annual event, according to Martin S. Stolzoff, conference chairman and partner at the Beverly Hills-based Real Estate Conference Group, which produces and presents the forecast.

The day-long conference will begin with registration and breakfast at 7 a.m. It will feature presentations by the brokerage and finance chiefs as well as 40 other industry leaders. The day's sessions will include discussions on topics including economics, development, financing, investment, technology, real estate investment trusts and other facets of real estate. Industry leaders will also discuss strategies for creating opportunities and meeting challenges in changing markets.

The brokerage chiefs who will keynote the conference will include Barry Barovick, president and CEO of Grubb & Ellis Co.; John C. Cushman III, chairman of Cushman & Wakefield; Harvey E. Green, president and CEO of Marcus & Millichap; Lewis Horne, executive managing director of CB Richard Ellis; and Stephen B. Siegel, chairman and CEO of Insignia/ESG. Financing experts will appear on a panel moderated by George Smith, chairman of George Smith Partners.

Featured speakers will include Stan Ross, chairman of the Lusk Center For Real Estate Development; and Don Miller, a principal of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments. A number of other prominent speakers and special presentations also are scheduled.

Conference sponsors include leading firms from throughout the real estate industry, as well as GlobeSt.com and two of its sister print publications, Los Angeles-based Real Estate Southern California and the national Real Estate Forum. Panels throughout the day will address REITS, brokerage, development, financing, investment trends and other industry topics. Jonathan A. Schein, president and CEO of Real Estate Media, will appear on a panel on technology. Michael G. Desiato, Real Estate Media's editor in chief, will moderate an investor panel.
