The plan is to cut the ribbon on the China Bistro in early 2004. P.F. Chang's has six restaurants in Texas, with one each positioned in Houston's Galleria and Westchase submarkets. The Scottsdale, AZ-based chain operates 65 restaurants nationwide.
Marci Rude, P.F. Chang's director of real estate, handled negotiations for the ground lease. Sugarland Properties Inc. was represented by Steve Ewbank, its executive vice president.
The Sugar Land Town Square has been designed with 230,000 sf of upscale retail and mixed with 700,000 sf of class A office space. The project also includes are a new city hall, 300-room full-service Marriott, conference center and 1.4-acre pedestrian plaza.
