Gleeson Funds 130,000-sf Carlisle Warehouse

LONDON-Gleeson Properties has acquired a 9-acre site in Dalston Road, Carlisle, Cumbria, next to the Pirelli tyre factory and has agreed to lease to Pirelli a 130,000 sq ft distribution warehouse.

Pirelli's Carlisle operation is the European centre for the manufacture of tyres for Sports Utility Vehicles and the company will be investing over £12 million ($19 million) in the project.

King Sturge and Osborne Clarke advised Gleeson; Pirelli was advised by sbh.uk which is also project manager for the scheme.
