Amerada Hess paid $1.3 million for the northern parcel of the more than 20-acre project. The company plans to operate a Hess retail gas facility, convenience store and fast-food restaurant designed to fit on a 65,000-sf pad.

In addition, WKL II and Associates Inc., owned by prominent businessman Dr. William C. Robinson, paid $675,000 for a one-acre parcel. The franchisee plans to build a Denny's restaurant there.

Stadium Corners is a mixed-use development located at the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue (University Boulevard) and Northwest 199th Street (Honey Hill Road), across from Joe Robbie Stadium.
