The shop at 273 Goodpasture Island Road will be near Kiefer Mazda about half a mile north of Valley River Center. The Kiefer dealership and the land for the new body repair shop are on seven acres owned by Kendall on the westside of Goodpasture Island Road.
Kendall would first build a smaller building and expand it later to 25,300 sf, according to documents filed with the city. Plans call forKendall to redevelop the larger building into a new auto dealership once its lease expires.
Dealership officials could not be reached for comment. The Eugene-based Kendall group has dealerships throughout the Eugene-Springfield area. The group sells Chrysler, Ford, Dodge, GMC, Jeep Honda and Lexus models.
