The center is the cornerstone of the Fletcher Plaza Urban Renewal Area revitalization project. Voters approved the project, which will include a 7,000-sf addition to the Fox Arts Center and an expansion of Fletcher Plaza.
The project will open in early 2004. In addition to the library and community space, the building will house the city's Community Development and Original Aurora Renewal's offices, and the Aurora Police Department's Original Aurora foot patrol office.
