The report is the last in the Major Economic Activity Map Series. The series has included three other maps for foreign investment, medical facilities and shopping centers in the region.

The new report pinpoints the locations of industrial/research/hi-tech parks as well as several proposed locations on a map of the seven-county region. The parks are listed based on their zoning classification, infrastructure and size.

Also, the report lists key data about the parks. Facts include that there are 174 parks, most of them built in the 1980s. Another 11 are proposed for more than 4,500 acres.

Oakland County has the most parks, but Wayne County has the largest area of parks. The city of Livonia has 27 of the parks, the most in the region. However, the Greenwood Energy Center Industrial Park in Greenwood Township is the largest park, at 3,600 acres.
