Wholesaler Breco International Inc. leased the industrial space at 601 McFarland St. in buildings one, five and a portion of building two in a southeast Houston development. John Nicholson with Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Houston office was the sole broker on the deal. Marshall Hatch of Houston is the building owner.
In the northwest corridor, Champion Wire & Cable took 17,100 sf at 9330 Baythorne St. near Blalock and Hempstead Highway. The 23-year-old, 208,225-sf multi-tenant warehouse is 38% leased. Wholesaler Hillyard occupies 6% of the structure, which sits on about 80 acres.
Mark Lehman, also in Grubb & Ellis' Houston office, was the tenant's representative. Steve Hazel of InSite Realty in Houston represented the building owner, Houston Northwest Industrial Associates.
