Both are "green", or environmentally conscious, builders."It's beneficial to have a broad range of product, from starter townhomes to homes of more than $500,000 in price," says Erick Eckberg, who will assume the role of president of the newly created business."That's an important combination to municipalities throughout Colorado who want to provide their citizens with a diverse selection of residences that appeal to a variety of generations and socio-economic levels," Eckberg says.
"With our newly created operation, Colorado cities and towns will now be able to get all of their residential planning requirements from a single company that specializes in two different areas, opposed to working with two or three different builders to address the same needs."
In addition, Eckberg has signed a two-year consulting contract with the new company.He also is starting his own land development company. He tells GlobeSt.com that he will find and buy land and then entitle it. After that, TOUSA has the right of first refusal on all property he acquires over the next two years.
