Carmel Cos. Inc. of Denver won out over two other bidders for the Casa Verde apartments at 5454 West Indian School Rd. The property had been on the market just two months when seller Walden Special Partners Ltd. of Addison, TX accepted the firm's offer.
Darrell Moffitt, with Marcus & Millichap, tells GlobeSt.com that the property was put up for sale after Walden decided to consolidate its holdings in the Phoenix market. The buyer owns another apartment complex in the area, he said.
The two-story, garden-style complex features 48 studio, 136 one-bedroom and 84 two-bedroom, two-bath units, with rents ranging from $389 to $640 per month. Moffitt and Peter Katz, also with Marcus & Millichap, represented buyer and seller in the transaction.
