John DeGrinis with the Encino office of Colliers Seeley tells GlobeSt.com that the new franchise is an expansion for the major shareholder of the new dealership, who owns Ventura Harley Davidson in Camarillo, CA. In addition to motorcycles, the new dealership will sell motorcycle clothing, parts and accessories. DeGrinis and Darren Cline of Colliers Seeley represented both the tenant, Harley Davidson of Simi Valley, and thebuilding owner, J&L Industrial Investments of Beverly Hills.
The new motorcycle dealership is in a freestanding, concrete tilt-up industrial building at 190 Condor Drive with 24-foot clear heights and 2,000 sf of mezzanine office space. The property was built in 1997 and had been occupied until recently by a tenant that moved into another building nearby that is owned by J&L Investments. DeGrinis says the owner obtained a conditional use permit for the motorcycle dealership in order to operate a retail business in the industrial setting.
