Casino revenues from the three mountain towns that permit limited stakes gaming were $51.5 million, a 9% decline from February 2002 and a 14% drop from January. It was the worst month since February 2001.
Black Hawk, as always, led the pack with $38.8 million in revenues. Cripple Creek was next with $9.9 million in revenues, followed by Central City with $3.7 million. Together, the industry paid $8.5 million in gaming taxes in February.
