Mike Catalano of Julien J. Studley Inc.'s West Los Angeles office tells GlobeSt.com that Storz has been in the space for nine years and was thinking of constructing its own building rather than leasing, but has decided to stay put for the time being. Catalano represented Storz, an international surgical device manufacturer, which maintains administrative offices and a product showroom at the Corporate Pointe address. Building owner Arden Realty Inc. was represented internally by Michael Pollack.
"We negotiated this about a year before the expiration of the lease because the tenant needed to make some capital improvements, and renewing early allowed us to fund the improvements," Catalano tells GlobeSt.com. The 273,339-sf, 12-story building at 600 Corporate Pointe, near Slauson Avenue and Bristol Parkway, was built in 1989. It is about 93% leased, with some of the leased space available on a sublease basis.
