The deal was arranged by Sean Brady of Cushman & Wakefield of NJ, based in East Rutherford. Brady, who has served as the turn-of-the-century building's marketing agent for more than a decade, has been tapped by the new owner as its leasing agent.
"The building is one of the few quality class B office buildings in Jersey City that caters to smaller tenants, and its new owner is fully committed to enhancing its position in the market," according to Brady. "The new owner will carry out an extensive capital improvement campaign at the property."
In recent leasing activity at 66 York Street, Aegis Mortgage Corp., represented by Wayne Kranz of Sitar Realty, took 3,000 sf, and other tenants include Fusion Design and Umivoice. Brady is currently marketing a 2,000-sf space for direct lease and TRS Associates is offering 6,000 sf for sublease. According to Brady, "the sublease opportunity can be easily converted into a long-term direct lease."
