Scot Ison and Nelson Udstuen, both with Axis Property Advisors in Houston represented the industrial commodities trader in lease negotiations for 1001 Woodloch Forest Dr. Ison tells GlobeSt.com that the firm penned a long-term lease in the plan to uproot the operation from New York to Texas in May.
Ison says petrochemical companies always consider the Houston metro when they consider relocation. The Woodlands won the nod because it has new office product, airport access and a good quality of life for employees and their families, he explains.
The new office is in a six-story, 142,000-sf office building in the heart of the Woodlands Town Square. The 40%-leased building is one of five owned by Anadarko Realty Co., a subsidiary of Woodlands-based Anadarko Petroleum Corp.
Gerry Trione and Steve Hesse, both with Houston's Trione & Gordon ONCOR International represented Anadarko in the lease negotiations. The inbound tenant is an international marketer of fertilizers, raw fertilizers and industrial chemicals.
