In another move, General Manufacturing signed a 50,000-sf lease at 28-30 Garden Ave., which involves a relocation from neighboring Franklin Park.
High-speed printing machine manufacturer Xeikon leased 53,200 sf at 1875 Irving Park Rd. The space is in a 200,000-sf building in the Itasca Highlands Business Park.
Third-party logistics company Broadway Warehouse has subleased a 26,592-sf at 1109 Kirk in Elk Grove Village.
Also in Bensenville, Korea Express leased 24,372 sf at 830 Supreme Dr.
Although terms were not disclosed, net rental rates in the O'Hare and west suburban markets range up to $5.75 per sf, according to CB Richard Ellis' most recent industrial market report.
Trammell Crow Co. VP Thomas G. Barbera represented both parties in the deal at Thorndale Business Park. "Bensenville is situated in a prime distribution area for metro Chicago and is already host to several other furniture distributors," he says in a statement. "The location also provides access to the labor force of west Cook County."
The other four deals involved brokers from Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler Inc. SVP Thomas M. Condon represented Abbco, owner of 28-30 Garden Ave., while Rick Daly of Darwin Realty & Development represented General Manufacturing. Condon also represented Xeikon while John Baxter of Hamilton Partners represented the owner of 1875 Irving Park Rd., Itasca. VP Matthew J. Stauber and associate Tom Rodeno represented the tenant and building owner at 1109 Kirk, Elk Grove Village. Stauber also represented Korea Express while Trammell Crow Co. VP Thomas P. Wagener represented First Industrial Realty Trust.
