In a prepared statement, however, Tishman Speyer representatives noted that "these changes allow us to prepare for growth. We conducted a full evaluation of our company worldwide, to make our business more efficient.

"With the help of outside management consultants," the statement continued, "we have sought to increase profitability by enhancing our technology, removing unnecessary layers of bureaucracy and more efficiently using staff."
