A total of six people died in the crash, which occurred just north of Boston on Friday morning. Fisher's wife, Anne, the pilot and co-pilot were also killed. Only Fisher's 13-year-old daughter, Tora, survived the wreck.
Included in the company's ownership/management portfolio are such assets as the Alliance Capital Building; Park Avenue Plaza; 605 Third Ave.; and 299 Park Ave.; which also serves as the firm's headquarters. Fisher's company responsibility focused mainly on financial acquisitions.
But Fisher was also a general partner of FdG Associates, a $200-million buy-out fund he started. He was also a board member of the Vitamin Shoppe, which FdG acquired in 1997 with 100 stores located throughout the US, and a board member of the Cantor Exchange.
In addition to his work in commercial real estate, Fisher was chairman of the board and CEO of the Intrepid Museum Foundation. Services for Fisher will take place aboard the Intrepid tomorrow, April 8, at 11am.
