RJM Waste Equipment Co. signed a long-term lease with building owner, FW Investments of Phoenix, to occupy a 40,000-sf industrial building at 2605 W. 1st St. that will become the firm's first Valley location. The company, which manufactures waste receptacles, will pay $1.4 million over the term.
"It was a win-win situation," Insignia/ESG director Ken McQueen tells GlobeSt.com. "They wanted to be in a building at an attractive rate and we were able to give them a rate that was more of what you would see in the West Valley."
McQueen said the lease also gave the company a good location near the Valley's freeway network along with ample yard space while filling a building that had been vacant for more than a year.
In addition to McQueen, the building owner was represented by Insignia/ESG associate director James Harper and associate Andy Ogan. Mike Ellison with Coldwell Banker Metro of Phoenix represented the tenant in the transaction.
