Details are sketchy, but EDCT's project is expected to include a total of some 65,000 sf of office and retail space, along with a major health club facility. There would also be on-site parking for more than 400 cars.
And, according to published reports, the EDCT is in active talks with a potential lead office tenant for the project. The prominent law firm of Hill Wallack, which is currently based at Carnegie Center in nearby West Windsor, NJ, is said to be seriously considering moving all or some of its operations to the downtown site. The firm's lease at the West Windsor location expires in two years, according to officials.
No timeline for EDCT's project has been announced, although Trenton Mayor Douglas Palmer has said publicly that he hopes any such project could be ready for move-in by the end of 2004.
