The targeted site is currently being used as an auto junkyard, and the project will involve demolition of existing buildings as well as a New Jersey DEP-supervised site remediation of possible contaminants. Once that's completed, according to Danmarc officials, the apartment complex will rise as four, four-story buildings with more than 200 parking spaces for tenants.

One item yet to be decided by Danmarc officials is whether it will be a rental or condo community, a determination that is expected to be made shortly. A late summer ground-breaking is slated, and the project is expected to be ready for occupancy in early 2005.
