Sean Breslin, who comes to AvalonBay from CWS Capital Partners of Austin, TX, will be responsible for acquisitions, dispositions and redevelopments, primarily in California and the Pacific Northwest. Matthew Winsryg, who previously was a development manager with Simpson Housing Solutions in Southern California, will be responsible for development of urban and suburban properties in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
In his previous posts, Breslin was responsible for operations and investment activity in Texas, North Carolina, California and Colorado. During his 17-year tenure with CWS, Breslin acquired approximately 10,000 apartments, oversaw nine development joint ventures, sold over 4,000 homes and redeveloped four communities.
Winsryg, in his previous posts, managed the development of more than $200 million in real estate assets in the Southwestern US, including the creation and allocation of over $48.7 million in tax credits. AvalonBay maintains its Southern California regional office in Newport Beach, with Lawrence A. Scott as the vice president in charge of the region.
