The Dallas Burn, grabbed the "as-is" space from Telecordia Technologies, a California-based tech company, which kept 2,500 sf and brought the rest to market as the major league soccer team was in the midst of shopping for a new office, Ethan Garner in the corporate services division of Dallas-based Weitzman Co. tells GlobeSt.com. The Burn took the balance of Telecordia's two-year lease with Newport Beach, CA-headquartered building owner, Koll Bren Schreiber Realty Advisors.
The Burn relocated from 2602 McKinney in a plan to get farther north, and most likely closer to Frisco where a variety of sports complexes mortar a development push that's in various stages of construction and planning. Garner and Larry Denisoff, also with Weitzman, represented the Dallas Burn. Randy Garrett in NAI Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell's Dallas office brokered the terms for Telecordia.
The Shidler Group cornered a 42-month renewal with the Christian Counseling Associates for 2,470 sf at the Atrium at Collin Ridge in Plano. The lease is valued at $141,000 over its term. Malcolm Ross of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the San Diego-based building owner while the tenant did its own talking.
Also at the Atrium, Global Marketing Services Inc., re-upped for three years on 1,624 sf in a lease valued at $113,000. The deal was sealed in the same fashion as the other, with Ross handling Shidler's end of the negotiations and the tenant bargaining on its own behalf.
In a 2,251-sf office lease, the law firm of Barbee & Gehrt renewed at One Main Place, one of Dallas' more popular addresses for the legal crowd. Tom Ligon and John Kappus, both with Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Dallas office, negotiated the contract.
Fort Worth's Oil & Gas Building at 309 W. 7th St. got a 2,101-sf signing. The inbound tenant is NTEX Aviation, an engineering company specializing in FAA parts. Dick Myers of Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co.'s Fort Worth office represented the tenant; Kevin Hunkeler of NAI Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell's Fort Worth team handled negotiations for the building owner, Fort Worth Plaza LP.
