Rosey T. Miller of Studley's West Los Angeles office tells GlobeSt.com that with the expansion, the hospital group now leases 20,000 sf at 515 Figueroa St. in the Manulife Financial Building. Miller and Jason Green, also of Studley's West Los Angeles office, represented the hospital association in the 10-year, $5-million transaction, with building Manulife Financial represented in-house by Parker Jones.
Miller says the hospital association expects to move into the additional space Feb. 1, 2004. Its former lease, also for 10 years, was due to expire Feb. 28, 2004. Miller says the hospital association wanted additional space that would satisfy its requirements for high-volume, on-site parking for visitors and employees and accommodate its growing need for space.
The Hospital Association of Southern California was established in 1923 as the first hospital association west of the Mississippi. The group consists of more than 200 public, private, not-for-profit, for-profit and specialty hospitals. The region covers Los Angeles, Orange, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
