Beazer Homes USA of Atlanta is shooting for a yearend debut of the townhomes, located on 4.4 acres the builder recently purchased at Atlantic Station. Beazer plans to break ground on the single-family component during the summer.
Locally based Lane Investment and Development Corp. is targeting a spring 2004 opening of 600 apartments. Another 69 condominiums are tentatively scheduled for completion by April 2004.
Foundations for the 25-acre, 7,000-car parking garage for the entire Atlantic Station enterprise are nearing completion. A 400,000-sf office tower at 171 17th St. has an April 2004 completion date.
On the retail side, Dillard's of Little Rock, AR plans a department store of at least 200,000 sf. United Artists will be building a two-story theater nearby. Restaurants rushing to select sites include Claddagh Irish Pub, Moe's Southwestern Grill, Mama Fu's Noodle House, California Pizza Kitchen and Marble Slab Creamery.
