Local and state business organizations have put forth a greatdeal of effort to assist in Santoni's $2.4-million expansion. TheBaltimore Development Corp., Harbor Bank, and the Maryland'sNeighborhood Business Development Program have come up with a totalof $2.1 million to help back the project.

"The expansion of current supermarket facilities and theattraction of new ones are a major priority for the cityadministration," BDC president MJ Brodie says.
