Recreation Design Showcase Slated for June

DENVER-City planners, recreation facilities managers and others will converge on the Mile High City in June to powwow about facility design and management.

The Colorado Parks and Recreation Association and the Athletic Business Magazine sponsor the school.Denver-based Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture designed nine of the 12 centers that will be toured.

To survive in this tight economy, architects who work on community projects must be able to communicate a facility's vision and use as well as anticipate how fast a community can move through the planning process, construction and ultimately recoup the investment, according to BRSA.
