The new space represents an expansion for the company. According to Sean Moran, CFO of Sontra, the move also represents a transition for the company from one that is focused on research to one that is focused on product commercialization. "The building at 10 Forge Park met our requirements for a high quality, flexible space that includes research and development, manufacturing and office space. In addition, the site is very well situated and there are many amenities nearby," notes Moran. Bailey adds that the building's location also provides the company with "accessibility to a qualified labor pool."

Sontra's new space is in a single-story, 98,950 sf office, research and development and manufacturing building. Located at the intersection of Routes 495 and 140, it is within Forge Park, a master planned park for over three million sf. On-site features include a YMCA, childcare and commuter rail service. Other tenants at the park include Fox-Meyer, B.J. Wholesale, Jarrell-Ash (a division of Thermo Electron), PLC Medical and Helix Corporation.
