City and County Get TRO Against Hotel

DENVER-Acting together, the city and county have obtained a temporary restraining order (TRO) closing parts of the Regency Hotel deemed unsafe by the two governments.

This stipulated temporary restraining order is in effect until further order of Denver District Court. Besides being a hotel, the 410-room structure is a popular venue for Mexican music that attracts thousands of young Hispanics.

The owner of the hotel is in the process of trying to sell it to the nonprofit Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
