New York-based On Broadway, LLC sold the 50 Broadway building, located at the intersection of the Saw Mill River, Sprain Brook and Bronx River parkways and Route 9 West, to Westport-based AGR Realty. No purchase price was announced. GVA Williams of Connecticut Investment was the sole broker in the transaction.

"50 Broadway represents a tremendous investment for AGR Realty based on its stable credit tenancy and cash flow as well as the leasing upside of the existing vacant space," said Cory R. Gubner, president and chief executive officer of GVA Williams of Connecticut. "There is no better building location in this market."

The building has a tenant roster that includes both national and local companies. One of its major tenants is QED, a pharmaceutical marketing firm that is a division of Quintiles Transnational Corp.

Across the border in Fairfield County, GVA Williams announced that Coach Inc. has signed a 10-year lease for 2,700 sf of retail space at 155 Main St. in Westport, CT. Coach is currently leasing space at another location on Main St., but will be relocating to 155 Main in order to expand its presence in the Wesport market, GVA Williams officials note.

Vice President Dominick Musilli and Gubner of GVA Williams represented the building owner, Elias Papageorge. Coach, a marketer of fine accessories and gifts for women and men, was represented by Nancy Saunders of the Saunders Company and Richard Hodos of HGCD Madison.

GVA Williams officials noted that the Coach lease comes on the heels of several notable retail openings on the Main St. strip in Westport in 2003. In March, Brookstone, Gardens Eden and Talbot's Men store opened their doors for the first time.
