Mike Taetz and Walker Barnett of the Houston office of Colliers International represented the Home Depot. Barnett tells GlobeSt.com that this was the first time his office has worked with the home improvement giant. Barnett would not reveal the lease length, but did say that the agreement for the freestanding warehouse involves temporary sublease space. He adds that his client considered several other alternatives, but ultimately felt this was the right fit for its product distribution needs. The tenant has already taken occupancy in the building.
The building, which includes 1,280 sf of office space, is owned by Edison, NJ-based Heller Industrial Parks Inc., which was represented in-house by Fred Kurtz.
Located next to the Port of Houston's Barbours Cut and Morgan's Point terminals, the building was designed as a liquid containment warehouse for the storage and distribution of hazardous commodities.
