The move represents an expansion in operations for the company, which specializes in adult- education training for disabled adults. The recently-renovated building will serve as Vinfen's adult education and employment training programs. This added location allows Vinfen to use its corporate headquarters at 950 Cambridge St. in Cambridge, MA exclusively for its administration.
Watertown's 2.4 million sf market continues to watch its vacancy rates go up despite its location as an inner suburb of Boston. According to Trammel Crow Co.'s most recent statistics, the city had an overall availability rate of 38.1% this past April, up from the high of 31.8% in January.
Lease rates for this deal were not available, but the average asking rent for office space in Watertown is at $20 per sf.
