Perenco bought out CMS Energy and then subleased the office for the past year, Bonnie Kelley with Songe Partners in Houston tells GlobeSt.com. Kelley leases the building on behalf of its joint venture owners, McCord Development of Houston and AEW Capital Management LP of Boston.
Kelley says Perenco, an exploration and production firm, checked out other buildings before it decided to stay put at One City Centre, a 29-story, 598,941-sf office tower that's 94% leased. The office building, constructed in 1961, was remodeled three years ago. The Houston-headquartered Waste Management Inc. occupies 28% of the building to hold the lead tenant ranking.
In office leases for the Bellaire submarket in southwest Houston, two doctors will set up offices in the 74,607-sf Pin Oak Office Park at 6800 W. Loop South.
